Roulette Strategy

When people talk about ‘Roulette Strategy’, what they are really referring to are ‘Roulette Systems’. Various strategies and systems have been invented over the ages to try and beat the roulette table and a number of these are really fun to use. However, it is worthwhile noting that to date, no roulette strategy has been developed that can mathematically win at roulette in the long-term. However, there are a number of roulette strategies and systems that can definitely produce short term winnings (assuming you don’t have a horrendous bad luck patch).

We have produced a comprehensive list of the top roulette strategies to use at online casinos and the best casinos to use these strategies at.

Martingale Roulette System

Possibly one of the most famous roulette strategies. This is the system whereby you double your bet each time you lose until you win and then start again. When you double up like this and win, in theory, you gain your loss back from the previous spin. In addition, you’ll turn a profit of the value of the bet. Should you lose a third spin in a row, the Martingale System dictates that you would double your third bet, in theory, winning back one bet value.

This system has more validity because it is based on the way you bet and not the order in which the numbers come up. This strategy can produce very good short term winnings and is the reason that all casinos have introduced maximum bet limits on their roulette tables (to stop players taking full advantage of this system). At a table with betting limits of $10 minimum and $500 maximum, the Martingale Roulette System would ultimately require you to place a bet higher than $500, should you be on a losing streak, and you would have to walk away with nothing, beat by the system itself. If you lost enough times in a row to surpass the table max, which is possible by the way, you would never logically be able to recover anyway, because you’d only be gaining one bet with every win.

Roulette Strategy

This system may work for some players for a few hands, should lady luck be on their side, but online gamblers who enjoy roulette must admit to themselves that this is a game of luck and is in the exact same category as the lottery. There are games that incorporate luck and skill, like online poker for instance, but roulette just isn’t one of them.

Fibonacci Roulette System

This is quite similar to the Martingale roulette system, but instead of doubling your bet each time you follow a betting pattern set by the Fibonacci Numbers (0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 25 etc). While the true Fibonacci sequence begins with 1, you can in fact choose any starting number and use a sequence that uses the sum of the two numbers before it for your bet. Make sure to start with a small number as the figures grow very quickly. If you bet on a winning number, go back two numbers in the sequence and bet on that number again. This is because the last two numbers were the two numbers whose sum made up the number that you bet on when you won. The sequence ends when you are back to betting with one unit.

There are also those who suggest that when you play with the Fibonacci system, if you win your bet, the sequence is over and you start again. If you lose the bet, you move on to the next number in the sequence. However, these people are wrong and you should in fact go back two numbers in the sequence and bet that amount. The reason for this is that if you lose a couple of bets in a row at the start and then won and started again, you would actually be operating at a loss, so remember not to do this!

Benefits of the Fibonacci System

If you are on a losing streak while playing online roulette with the Fibonacci system, you will find that you will not recover all of your losses, but you will reduce them. This system is relatively stable even in shorter betting sequences and once the sequences grow, one win is likely to compensate for previous losses. However, you must make sure to set a limit to your playing and cap the duration of the system to six or seven losses. This system provides a more gradual increase in the size of your bets than you will find with many other systems.

Disadvantages of the Fibonacci System

If you are on a losing streak, you will find that your betting amounts increase fairly quickly. Eventually you will find that you are limited either by your own bankroll or by the betting limits that are set by the casino. It is important to set betting limits before your bets become exorbitant. The Fibonacci system tends to be a win some-lose some type of system.

1326 Roulette System

A slightly odd system whereby you follow a specific four-bet betting pattern of: 1x your orginal bet, 3x your orginal bet, 2x your orginal bet and finally 6x your original bet. This system is good in that it minimises any losses you might receive, but also maximises your winnings when you hit a hot streak.

How the 1326 Roulette System Works

So after you have signed up at an online casino and are ready to play online roulette, you need to choose a starting bet and this will be the basis for all of your bets in the sequence. Each bet that you place will multiply your original bet by the number of your position in your four-bet sequence. The first number will be multiplied by 1; the second number multiplied by 3; the third number multiplied by 2; the fourth number multiplied by 6.

If you original bet is $1, your sequence will look like this: $1-$3-$2-$6.
If you original bet is $4, your sequence will look like this: $4-$12-$8-$24.

If at any stage you lose your bet, you revert back to your original bet.

Does the 1326 Roulette System Work?

As we have made abundantly clear in this article –  no roulette system will make you money in the long term. The odds of the game remain the same regardless of the system that you use and if you have a terrible run of luck, you will be down no matter what. The 1326 roulette system will help you to limit your losses if you stick to the methodical approach. On the flip side, if you go on a little bit of a lucky streak, then your wins will be much greater than if you were simply betting $1 on red or black each time (4 wins in a row would net you $4, but 4 wins in a row with the 1326 roulette strategy would net you $12).
